The GermGuardian AC5000E’s attractive, uncomplicated control panel features a push button on/off UV switch – a nice feature that let’s you decide when you want UV protection. A blue light illuminates under the unit’s top rim when UV power is turned on. The AC5000E also features a rotary dial to power the unit on and select fan speed. When set on Low, the AC5000E is extremely quiet, and only moderately louder on Medium. While noticeably louder on High (sound approximates that of a normal conversation), many customers find they use the high setting for quick or maximum air cleaning.
