The mattress surface is quilted rather than tufted for a more relaxed and supple feel. On the inside, staple cotton padding is layered around the innerspring, then encased in a durable cotton fabric, and hand tufted in European fashion for firmer back support. Quilted construction of the mattress upper includes a layer of natural latex (for pressure point relief), plus layers of untreated French lamb’s wool and hypoallergenic Comfort Fil 7 (for added plush at the surface), all quilted to a luxuriously breathable Belgian 100% cotton cover. • Up to 50 lbs of the highest grade, California-grown, staple cotton padding surround Royal-Pedic’s innovative, Swiss-designed Royal-Flex® 704i innerspring system, creating an evenly consistent and supportive sleeping surface. Royal-Pedic uses no polyurethane foam padding in its mattresses, so you will enjoy longer durability, more lasting body support, and healthier sleeping with a Royal-Pedic. The innerspring system features 85% more coils than found in standard mattresses, plus uses T-Spring side supports around the perimeter for edge-to-edge comfort. Royal-Pedic’s cotton padding is made using only the finest long staple cotton grown in California (customarily used in high-end furniture). The longer cotton fibers are blended to create the cotton padding layers used in Royal-Pedic mattresses, providing an even, supportive sleeping surface with no lumps.

With this in mind, Royal-Pedic’s Double Diamond Box Spring is the finest available, and will provide you with many years of comfort and satisfaction. On the inside, everything about this box spring says quality, strength and durability, from the number, type and gauge of the coils used, to the hotel-grade foundation that the coils rest on. This exceptional box spring is covered in the same fabric as the mattress, and is padded at the top with a generous layer of staple cotton to lend added support to the bottom of the mattress. Heavy-duty cotton fabric is used on the underside of the box spring in place of the customary thin, non-woven synthetic that often droops and pills. To finish, brass corner guards are installed on lower corners instead of the plastic ones that so easily break off.
